ULMA Forklift Trucks hosts the MONDRAGON Group Good Practice Open Day
For over a decade now, the MONDRAGON Group has had its own process for good practice identification, validation and dissemination, illustrating how a specific co-operative can implement some concepts of the corporate management model thereby inspiring other MONDRAGON companies to adapt and apply the same.
On 12 December, Jesús Jara, the director of ULMA Forklift Trucks current project "Development of an Online Technical Assistance and E-Commerce Service”, gave a presentation of this project and its design, management, development and implementation in the afternoon, assited by Jon Ander Aramendi and Jose María Arozena. The presentation was followed by an assessment of results obtained to date, conclusions drawn, areas for improvement in and future prospects of the scheme.
The idea of developing an online technical service arose from the need to have tools available for better management of the ULMA forklift truck fleet. The project has enabled standardisation and optimisation of the technical service processes, enabling real time access to information in addition to providing a tool to reduce the amount of clerical work required, thus improving customer assistance.
The aspect most highly valued by participants was the generosity shown by companies like ULMA Forklift Trucks, who freely shared their experience to teach others and help build a better Co-operative Group besides being a prime example of MONDRAGON Good Practice.
