ULMA Drainage Channels at Brazil’s Estádio Beira Rio, a 2014 World Cup venue
ULMA Architectural Solutions has installed Drainage Channels at the Estádio Beira-Rio. This Brazilian football stadium is located in the city of Porto Alegre, on the banks of the River Guaiba. It belongs to the Internacional football team and holds 58,306 spectators, and is set to be one of the 2014 World Cup venues, hosted by Brazil.
The U150 and SELF 200 channels were installed, with both a galvanised steel grille and corrugated design as part of this project. These channels are ideal for sports facilities, where there is no excessive demand for load resistance or heavy vehicles. These multi-purpose, constant-height channels are highly practical for not excessively long drain lines. The construction company Andrade Gutierrez chose our drainage system for several reasons, in particular the technical solution offered plus the quick completion period.
