ULMA drainage channels at Brasilia International Airport
ULMA Architectural Solutions has installed over 600 linear metres of model F300 drainage channels at Brasilia International Airport.
The drainage system is a vital aspect of any airport, as it is essential to drain off any water accumulating on the runways and it must be strong enough for the channels to withstand high loads.
Consórcio Construtor Helvix, the construction company in charge of the project, awarded ULMA the contract essentially because their bid offered installation in the shortest time and at the most competitive price.
With a terminal capable of handling over 9 million passengers a year, Brasilia International is one of Brazil’s most modern airports. It contains a shopping centre with 136 outlets and is the third busiest airport in Brazil, after the two main airports of São Paulo Congonhas and Guarulhos International.
