São Paulo’s Guarulhos Airport installs ULMA drainage channels
The busiest airport in Brazil and Latin America has installed ULMA’s drainage system.
Guarulhos is the busiest airport in Brazil and also the busiest in Latin America, with 36 million passengers in 2013. Construction firm OAS and designer Typsa Engecorps chose the ULMA drainage systems for Brazil’s largest airport because of its technical innovation, short completion period and price.
F150K and F300K drainage channels with ductile cast iron grating were installed. These channels withstand heavy loads, particularly in sections where gratings are subject to heavy axial stress from braking and manoeuvring aircraft. 3,200 linear metres of drainage channels were installed.
