RIOMAR SHOPPING CENTER - BRAZIL
This is one of Brazil’s largest shopping malls. Its developer is the prestigious JCPM Group. It was originally decided that the building should be stone clad, but the team of architects, AFA Arquitectos Associados, finally opted for ULMA’s Ventilated Facade system with polymer concrete slabs.

It is a large shopping centre, located in the Boa Viagem district in Recife, Pernambuco, in north-eastern Brazil, and it was built in 1980. This is the 5th extension to be made to the centre.
It boasts a very interesting socially responsible project, Instituto Shopping Recife, a not-for-profit entity helping children under 7 years of age in precarious situations.
