RENOVATION OF HOUSING UNITS IN ALCOY WITH ULMA TAILOR-MADE PREMANUFACTURED PIECES

The building had problems with cracks and breaking of part of the plating, caused by the scarcity of stone coating in the frames, leading to a high risk of landslides.

The versatility and available solutions offered by the ULMA premanufactured architectural pieces were the key points for their choice. In this case, specific pieces adapted to the project were designed and manufactured, addressing the different finishes of the building in balcony fronts, blinds, and window frames.

The choice of material is also vital for the success of the project and, thanks to the high quality of the polymer concrete, these pieces were the optimal solution.

The most remarkable advantages of the material are its inalterability in the frost and thaw cycles and its virtually null water absorption rate. By adding the absence of frames in the pieces, we can say that the ULMA premanufactured pieces help extend the health of buildings and have excellent results in the renovation of façades.

In total, 1000 m2 of material were supplied, and the colour chosen for the project was sandstone, maintaining the previous aesthetics of the building.
