ULMA special drainage solution for the Montserrat Sanctuary

ULMA has developed a special drainage solution for the redesign of the entrance square at the emblematic Montserrat Sanctuary, located in the Barcelona municipality of Monistrol de Montserrat. There are three squares at three different levels which are interconnected and function as the anteroom to the Basilica.

The ULMA technical department, after having studied the project, proposed to the client one special cross-shaped part for the channel, and another for the grating, such that this could be assembled with the U100.10R channels and so offer a more hydraulically efficient solution, with suitable connection between the parts, with an enhanced finish, and simplifying the work in terms of cost and schedule.

With its inverted “T” shaped, the grooved gratings stands out for its looks, and is a system which integrates perfectly into the surfacing used (be this concrete, cobblestones or paving stones) and blends perfectly into the urban landscape. Integral, adaptable to different channel models and available in a galvanized and stainless finish, it is ideal for urban environments.
