As a social agent, ULMA shows its commitment to social transformation – already present in its own cooperative identity – and joins the network of social agents in the region of Alto Deba, whose aim is to promote a more sustainable and self-organised society, formed by autonomous people and people acting in cooperation.

Bagara is a non-profit cooperative that was established in 2008 to give a comprehensive response to certain cooperative agents of Alto Deba in its need to channel its vocation and responsibility to social transformation.

For the next few years, the main strategy will be the promotion of a community process for the socio-ecological transition of the region, as expressed in the strategic lines of work that Bagara presented at its last General Meeting in January and which are summarised in the chart below:

Autonomous people and cooperatives in a more sustainable and self-organised society
