SAMSENG paper mill will automate its warehouse logistics managed by 9 stacker cranes
One of the Argentinean company's priority values is continuous improvement and, therefore, Samseng has decided to commission ULMA to automate its logistics, allowing it to maximise its productivity ratios and flexibility, thus improving its service to its customers.
The new paper mill facility will have an automated warehouse system for pallets coming from production and raw material in its newly built premises. The project will consist of two input lines: in the first, the STVs (Sorting Transfer Vehicles) will connect the paper mill's production with theautomated warehouse, which will be managed by 9 unit load stacker cranes. While the raw material, second input line, will be stored directly by the stacker cranes.
In addition to the automated warehouse system, they will have an ergonomic picking area, equipped with Pick to Light devices, providing simplicity in the picking process.
