Five quality projects backed by ULMA Group are presented at STARTInnova
The STARTInnova initiative, run by diariovasco.com and backed by the Basque Government Department of Education, Linguistic Policy and Culture and the Guipúzcoa Entrepreneurs’ Association Adegi, is also sponsored by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), the Tknika Innovation Centre and companies such as ULMA Group that believe in the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of new generations.
Sorkunde Irazu, the representative of diariovasco.com who attended the meeting between the ULMA Group representatives and the Instituto Zuazola students, informed that 27 Guipúzcoa centres will be presenting their business entrepreneurship projects at the third edition of the STARTInnova event. A committee of Business Studies lecturers will assess and select the ten groups who will present their projects at the final stage before a tribunal of acclaimed professionals from the business, university and entrepreneurship promotion fields.
The students were able to find out about the ULMA Group’s 50-year history, which has laid the foundations guaranteeing its present and future success, while the ULMA Group representatives listened to the high quality ideas presented by the five groups tutored by Instituto Zuazola teacher Begoña Otal.
The ideas, ranging from creation of a virtual fashion store to sport promotion initiatives connected with leisure or design or marketing of a bike hanger, have all the ingredients for becoming feasible projects: a work plan involving exhaustive definition of factors such as product, target market, price and promotion, together with the creative spirit, originality and enthusiasm of their authors.
