Brandili and Indutop look to the future with the ULMA Handling Systems logistics system
The major logistics revolution has occurred within the companies themselves, in the internal logistics area, where a combination of engineering and new information technology has made the warehouse the hub of the supply chain.
Professionals agree that the textile sector is now at a crossroads, and firms must decide whether to look to the future with new automated logistics systems that will improve their competitiveness and efficiency for taking on sector challenges, or to maintain their current conventional logistics infrastructure and results.
The new generation of logistics solutions, with the ULMA-DAIFUKU FSS Systems as leaders in terms of Innovative Technology, are now an essential all-round tool for any company that wishes not only to focus on turnover but also to build for the future through modular growth, improvements to process quality, stock control, traceability management, shorter lead times and error reduction, and decides to make this “dream” come true.
ULMA Handling Systems is currently developing an innovative automated storage and order picking system for the textile company Brandili, which will make the firm lead the sector in terms of logistics efficiency.
Brandili's new system will consist of two FSS installations and a double tray sorting system, managed by a custom-designed WMS. The Pick-to-Light devices will intuitively guide staff through the multi-order picking process.
The company Indutop will also be a prime example of a textile design and distribution company planning for future success with a logistics automation system designed and developed by ULMA.
The latest-generation FSS systems are used to improve storage and order picking.
These two logistics automation projects are set to become a reference point in Latin America and will enable both Brandili and Indutop to stand out from other brands in terms of their future strategy.
