The spirits distribution company MAJOR ISD (exclusive distributor in France of JÄGERMEISTER and other spirits and non-alcoholic beverages), now has an integrated intralogistics solution at its facilities in France, with the automation of its warehouse and the order picking process.

ULMA Handling Systems has developed a fully customised solution, taking into account the needs of the Cognac-based firm Major ISD. The intralogistics solution has an automatic warehouse with a capacity for more than 1,000 pallets, managed by a stacker crane designed to operate in several aisles of the warehouse.

In addition, the French firm has an order picking station enabling several orders to be picked simultaneously, thus reducing the picking time.

To carry out this project, ULMA has conceived the logistics process from its position as an integral engineering company in Material Handling Systems, fully encompassing its customers' needs through its logistics consultancy, planning and engineering service, leading to the execution of the project and the after-sales service.
