Visit of SAUDI ARAMCO

This company is number one in the world for oil reserves, with more than 260 million barrels and a daily extraction capacity of 9.1 million barrels.  Its refinery capacity, giving the idea of completeness of the company, is at 4 million barrels per day.  But even though these figures are outstanding, highlighting that it is the fourth company in the world in natural gas reserves, being the first company in the world in what refers to exporting the mentioned product.

The company located in Saudi Arabia, as indicated in the first point, was established in 1933, fruit of collaboration between the Saudi and American governments, therefore its initial name of ARAMCO, acronym of Arabian American Oil Company.  Between 1970 and 1980 control of company slowly passed to the Saudi government, therefore the change of its name to Saudi Aramco.  It has offices in different parts of the world, such as China, Japan, Holland, Korea, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.  It currently has a headcount of 54,000 workers, distributed in 70 countries.

ULMA Piping is actively collaborating with this company, main motor for development of Saudi Arabia, in the development of different refineries that are being built or the existing ones being extended.  It is a direct collaboration through the main distributors in the area and through the main worldwide engineering companies that execute the projects this company is developing.  There are several projects that have been developed over the last 2 years, highlighting the refineries of Yanbu and Jubail, mastodontic complexes, destined to be the main refineries in the world over the coming years.
