20 years of “Made in the Basque Country”

During this time, many Basque companies have incorporated environmental criteria since the design and development phase of their products, including ULMA Maintenance Services , which for years has offered a service-oriented business model, proposing the extension of the service life of products. To achieve that, it applies predictive, redesign and reuse techniques, supporting decisions in online systems for monitoring the technical status of the critical elements of the product. It thus offers more innovative solutions that are tailored to the needs of the customer and in which IoT, sensor and big data greatly facilitate the servitisation model.

To disseminate the work developed by Basque companies during these 20 years, coinciding with the celebration of the Basque Ecodesign Meeting 2020, a large exhibition of Basque eco-designed products is being held at the Euskalduna Palace, in Bilbao, from 26 February to 1 March, called “20 years of “Made in the Basque Country” eco-design”, and where we will also be present.
