ULMA Agrícola completes several projects in Africa
Some of the work done in the Republic of South Africa was especially significant, with the construction of many different types of facilities ranging from small experimental centres for scientific research to installations over 10,000 m2 for rural community development in the East London area.
One of the research buildings constructed is 12 x 30 m in size and is equipped with a motorised automated dual ventilation system with several sensors.
The facilities built in the south-east of the country are for hot climate tomato-growing and have been equipped with a butterfly-type overhead aeration system to improve ventilation. The vents are protected with anti-trip mesh and are controlled automatically using different sensors. The facility also has a grille system for fastening the wires so that the plants can climb them, and stays for reinforcing both sides of the installation. It also has a full fertigation sprinkler system.
