ULMA Construction provides a comprehensive service for Poznan’s Nobel Tower
The vocation of ULMA Construction to provide all-round solutions can be clearly seen from the supply of all the equipment required for this project: RKS guided climbing formwork, ORMA modular formwork and CC-4 aluminium horizontal formwork with EP European props.
The RKS light self-climbing system enabled a fast work pace in spite of bad weather conditions. It included a hydraulic unit, enabling the vertical climbing panel system to be mounted without separating the structure from the wall. Considerable time and cost savings were achieved, since no crane was required. Furthermore, the 70 cm recessing system aided the reinforcement work and conditioning of material after positioning.
The MK System used for the structure enabled easy adaptation to the building geometry and configurations required by the customer for work platforms, access, etc.
Four platform levels were used for the climbing system at all times, each working as a separate unit including all the safety elements required: concrete pouring, formwork support, hydraulic system drive and cone recovery.
The building perimeter was covered with 22 panels 6 and 7 metres wide and a height of 13.7 m. The structure was raised 11 times to a height over 50 metres using 4 hydraulic cylinders, and concrete layers of 3.7 m.
