We reward your sustainable mobility at all ULMA work centres now

From home to work and from work to home: accumulate cycles and redeem your cycles for gifts
We reward your sustainable mobility at all ULMA work centres now
Jan 16, 2019

ULMA extends to all its centre the programme that rewards sustainable journeys to work: walking, cycling, skating, running, carpooling, or riding a LanBus or public transport.

The programme was launched in 2018 at the ULMA head office in Oñati, and it is already open in 2019 to all the municipalities in the country where ULMA has employees. In Oñati, 267 people are already in the programme, accumulating cycles and earning gifts. They have travelled 9,116 sustainable kilometres and have stopped emitting more than 2,000 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere.

We encourage you to leave the car at home and travel sustainably to go to work. It is healthier, environmentally friendly, more economical, produces well-being, oxygenates the brain, helps fight stress, provides a break from the sedentary lifestyle, helps keep our neurons in good shape, and can earn you a prize!

Would you like to sign up?

To participate, just take these two simple steps:

1.- Sign up on the website www.ekokilometro.ulma.com

2.- Download the free Ciclogreen app on your mobile.

You now have everything to start counting your sustainable kilometres!

How are the kilometres counted?

When you start your journey, open the Ciclogreen app, select the way you are going to move, and press Play. Your route is drawn on the map as you move, as you allow the app to know your location. When you reach your destination, press Stop to end the activity and save your progress.

This is the value assigned to each kilometre, depending on how you travel:

  • Walking: 1 km = 4 cycles
  • Skating: 1 km = 3 cycles
  • Cycling or running: 1 km = 2 cycles
  • Electric scooter, Public transport, LanBus: 1km = 1 cycle
  • Carpooling: 4 km = 1 cycle

Accumulate cycles and redeem your cycles for gifts. The trips to ULMA centres in the country and the trips from these ULMA centres, from Monday to Friday, will be valid.

Where can I redeem my gifts?

On the website www.ekokilometro.ulma.com you can see the catalogue of gifts we have prepared and exchange your cycles whenever you want. There is an annual exchange limit of €200 per person. You can also see the rankings with the sustainable kilometres travelled by each ULMA business.

In addition, in the Ciclogreen app, you can view your cycles achieved, kilometres travelled, the CO2 levels you have stopped emitting to the atmosphere, amounts in euro saved by not consuming petrol, and even the kilocalories you have burnt with your activity.

Cheer up!

The aim of the programme is to change customs towards more sustainable and healthy habit, which should allow ULMA to become a more responsible company.

Many companies already have this programme in place: Decathlon, Seur, HP, Carrefour, the Universities of Navarra, the Basque Country, Malaga, Murcia, Leon, Cadiz, Alicante, Granada, Valladolid, Zaragoza, etc. are already awarding sustainable mobility of its groups with Ciclogreen.

We know that changing acquired habits is something that can be costly and that the comfort or the inertia may be too hard to overcome, or that it is not something that can be done every day, but it is only a matter of beginning. If you make a little effort, ULMA will reward you. Will you help us?
