Petriny Station is one of the four stations being constructed as part of the Prague Metro Line A extension project. It has the largest tunnel in the project: 220 m long, 16 m high and 22 m wide.
This tunnel forms part of an 8-kilometre network of infrastructures along which the underground trains will run in the Czech capital. The complex ventilation duct network consists of a series of large tunnels, including the SO 05, which is the widest ever built in the Czech Republic.
With a single product – the MK System – the ULMA Construcción technical service has provided solutions for all the different configurations for these works.
In addition to the tunnel boring machine, ULMA Construcción has also supplied other structures for insulation, steel reinforcement and formwork for one-sided walls. Work on the next station, Cerveny Vrch, is due to begin shortly.
