Numerous entries have already been sent in, showing once again that objects normally thrown away after use deserve a second life.

With just ten days to go before the closing date for the Handicrafts Competition, a number of entries have already been received, including a helicopter made of bottles and drinking straws, a beach landscape created using a plastic tray and sand, and a ladies’ hat crocheted from plastic bags. Clearly showing that with a little effort and imagination, even the youngest members of the family can create genuine works of art.

If your kids haven’t submitted an entry yet, there’s still time. All participants will receive a small gift, and the winner of each category will be given bicycle as a special prize.
